General information (also general data) is

[i]nformation that could include records, documents, or files pertaining to law enforcement operations, such as computer-aided dispatch (CAD) data, incident data, and management information. Information that is maintained in a records management, CAD system, etc., for statistical/retrieval purposes. Information could be either resolved or unresolved. The record is maintained per statute, rule, or policy.[1]
