Overview Edit

Under U.S. export control laws, there is a fundamental research exemption (FRE) which provides conditions, subject to certain exceptions, under which the Export Administration Regulations do not apply to university research "where the resulting information is ordinarily published and shared broadly within the scientific community."[1]
