A Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC)

means an electronic control system for gas turbine or combined cycle engines utilizing a digital computer to control the variables required to regulate engine thrust or shaft power output throughout the engine operating range from the beginning of fuel metering to fuel shutoff.
