Overview[]
This report presents an overview of the current landscape surrounding the adoption of electronic health records. The report also presents a review of recommendations that pertain to electronic health records, and the current and potential expansion of electronic health record utilization in the State of Maryland, including: electronic transfer; electronic prescribing; computerized physician order entry; the cost of implementing these items in the State; the impact of the current and potential expansion on school health records; and the impact of the current and potential expansion on patient safety and privacy.
