A Federal Senior Intelligence Coordinator (FSIC) is

[t]he highest ranking individual within a Federal Department or Agency (outside the Intelligence Community) accountable for responsible and appropriate information sharing and other relationships with the U.S. Intelligence Community. Responsibilities include direct intelligence support to customers, counterintelligence, protection of national security information, civil liberties and privacy protection.[1]
