Biometrics

A feature is

a distinctive mathematical characteristic derived from a biometric sample; used to generate a reference.[1]

Contract

A feature is an additional capability beyond basic service that is to be selected at the option of the user. Features are normally separately priced, although some features have been defined to be not separately priced.
