Citation Edit

Entertainment Software Ass’n v. Hatch, 443 F.Supp.2d 1065 (D. Minn. 2006) (full-text).

Trial Court Proceedings Edit

The court permanently enjoined enforcement of a Minnesota statute prohibiting individuals under age 17 from renting or purchasing videogames rated AO or M by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB), on First Amendment grounds and because use of the ESRB rating system as a legal standard constituted an improper delegation of governmental authority.
