Definition Edit

An Endorsed Cryptographic Products List (ECPL) is a list of products that provide electronic cryptographic coding (encrypting) and decoding (decrypting), and which have been endorsed for use for classified or sensitive unclassified U.S. government or Government-derived information during its transmission.

One such list is set forth in the NSA's Information Systems Security Products and Services Catalogue.
