Electronic security (e-security or ELSEC)

[is] [p]rotection resulting from measures designed to deny unauthorized persons information from the interception and analysis of noncommunication electromagnetic emissions, such as radar.[1]
encompasses security aspects of the information economy, including information systems and communications networks.[2]
