Overview Edit

The Electronic Crime Partnership Initiative (ECPI) was established and funded by the National Institute of Justice to address the needs cited in the National Institute of Justice Research Report titled "Electronic Crime Needs Assessment for State and Local Law Enforcement" (Mar. 2001) (full-text). The ECPI is comprised of electronic crime subject matter experts representing law enforcement, academia and the private sector from across the country, working in cooperation on projects and programs to improve the capacity of state and local law enforcement to effectively address electronic crime.
