Definition Edit

E-consultation (also called online consultation) is

[a web-based application ] "for getting feedback from citizens on policies and supporting citizen participation in planning procedures."[1]
an exchange between government and citizens using the internet. Generally, an agency consults a group of people to get their thoughts on an issue when a project or a policy is being developed or implemented. This enables governments to draft more citizen-centred policy.[2]
