Overview[]
This Instruction reissues and updates DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5240.18 (Reference (a)), in accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) 5143.01 (Reference (b)). [It] establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for the function of CI [Counterintelligence] analysis and production as prescribed in DoDD O-5240.02 (Reference (c)). [It] modifies leadership of the DoD CI Analysis and Production Council (CIAPC).
