A Designated Intelligence Disclosure Official (DIDO) is

[t]he heads of IC organizations or those U.S. Government Officials who have been designated by the DNI, in writing, as having the authority to approve or deny disclosure or release of uncaveated intelligence information to foreign governments in accordance with applicable disclosure policies and procedures.[1]
