Dependability is

[a] facet of reliability that relates to the degree of certainty that a system or component will operate correctly.
[t]he trustworthiness of a computing system which allows reliance to be justifiably placed on the service it delivers. It is also used as the collective term gathering the following attributes or non-functional requirements: availability, reliability, maintainability, safety, and security.[1]
