Overview Edit

NATO's Defense Policy and Planning Committee in Reinforced Format (DPPC(R))[1] oversees the work of the CDMB to better ensure the policy and action plan are receiving proper attention and funding from NATO and national members. It oversees and advises on the Alliance’s cyber defense efforts at the expert level.

  1. The “Reinforced” in the name means it is chaired by the Deputy Secretary General (rather than an Assistant Secretary General) and the regular membership is augmented, as needed, by others organizations, such as the Budget or Intelligence Committees or the board of the NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency.
