Definition Edit

De-identified information refers to records that have had enough PII removed or obscured such that the remaining information does not identify an individual and there is no reasonable basis to believe that the information alone can be used to identify an individual.

Overview Edit

De-identified records can be used when full data records are not necessary, such as for examinations of correlations and trends.
