Definition Edit

The Copyright Office In-Process System (COINS) is a computer system used by the U.S. Copyright Office to track copyright claims and other fee services through the Copyright Office and records whether proper fees have been received. When deposits are received for copyright registration, they are given a barcode number and are entered into the COINS tracking system.
