The Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC)

links geographically dispersed sensors of differing capabilities with all potential firing platforms. Such sensor netting makes each shooter's combat system "think" that every asset in the data link is that unit's own sensor, making engagements on remote track data possible.[1]
