Overview[]

This paper outlines efforts by the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), and in Australia and Canada, to develop frameworks for consumer protection in electronic commerce. In addition, the paper will deal with one specific measure — the "credit card chargeback" — that appears to be gaining acceptance as a viable consumer protection measure in an electronic commerce environment.
