A confidentiality-protected environment is

[a]n environment which prevents unauthorized information disclosure either by preventing unauthorized data inspection or by preventing unauthorized derivation of sensitive information through data inspection. Sensitive information may include some or all of the data attributes (e.g. value, size, or existence).[1]
