Overview Edit

The chemical facility anti-terrorism standards (CFATS) were promulgated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to protect chemical facilities from terrorist attacks. The standards include provisions requiring chemical facilities to take measures to protect against cyber threats.[1] Violations of CFATS can be punished by civil monetary penalties or an injunction to cease operations.[2]
