Chemical computers,

are suitable for traditional computing applications, although likely to be less powerful than traditional computers. However, cheap and robust techniques include reaction–diffusion computing, in which waves carry information through a beaker of chemicals. Chemical computers could offer low-cost computing and allow development of amorphous robots.[1]
