A central computer facility is

[o]ne or more computers with their peripheral and storage units, central processing units, and communications equipment in a single controlled area. Central computer facilities are those areas where computer(s) (other than personal computer(s)) are housed to provide necessary environmental, physical, or other controls.[1]
