Overview[]

The Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (CIP/HS), originally called the CIP Project, is located in the George Mason University School of Law. Executive management of the grant is through The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). As the project expanded, on-going activities were leveraged to generate new funding that matured the project scope to address unexplored areas of critical infrastructure protection. By 2004, the CIP Project grant had evolved into a family of projects under the overall umbrella of the Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (CIP/HS), featuring core research and contracted research projects.
