Brute force

[is a] cryptanalysis technique or other kind of attack method involving an exhaustive procedure that tries all possibilities, one-by-one.[1]
[occurs] When a malicious hacker tries to guess your user name and password. This is usually done automatically by malware that uses a large list of very common words and numbers.[2]
