Overview[]

Broadband Canada-Connecting Rural Canadians was a program established in 2009 by the Canadian federal government to extend broadband coverage into rural areas. The program funded up to 50% of eligible costs for projects to bring broadband Internet access to unserved and underserved areas. While the program was predominantly geared to bringing broadband to population centres, Broadband Canada was intended to benefit businesses as well.
