Definition[]

A biometric reference is

[o]ne or more stored biometric samples, biometric templates or biometric models attributed to a biometric subject and used for comparison. Example: Face image on a passport; fingerprint minutia(e) template on a National ID card; Gaussian Mixture Model for speaker recognition, in a database.[1]
