Bayesian (decision) analysis is

a technique developed by the Reverend Thomas Bayes in 1763, in which he advanced the proposition that subjective probabilities should be combined with frequency probabilities via what has come to be called Bayes' theorem, a very simple formula using conditional probabilities.[1]
