This joint standard was prepared by Joint Technical Committee OB-007, Risk Management. It was approved on behalf of the Council of Standards Australia on November 6, 2009, and on behalf of the Council of Standards New Zealand on October 16, 2009. This Standard was published on November 20, 2009. This new standard for managing risk supersedes AS/NZS 4360:2004.
This standard recommends that organizations have a framework that integrates the process for managing risk into the organization's overall governance, strategy and planning, management, reporting processes, policies, values and culture.
