Assured protection is

[p]rotection based on a detailed analysis of the threats and generic countermeasures (CMs), which results in the implementation of security controls addressing Access Control, Authentication, Non-Repudiation, Data Confidentiality, Data Integrity, Survivability/Availability to protect information at rest and in transit.[1]
