Overview[]

Apple Inc. (previously Apple Computer, Inc.) is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of California and its principal place of business is in Cupertino, California. Apple designs and markets a broad range of innovative products including personal computers, portable digital music players (iPods) and mobile communications devices (iPhones).

Apple also sells a variety of other products and services, including software, peripherals (printers, displays, computer memory, etc.), and network solutions. In addition, Apple sells a variety of digital content, including music and video, through its online iTunes store.

Apple popularized the smartphone, making the device so ubiquitous that consumers have grown accustomed to carrying a supercomputer in their pocket.[1]
