Digital signature Edit

Ancillary services refer to

(1) A person offering or performing a service, other than issuance of certificates, in support of digital signatures and other related areas of secure electronic commerce, or

(2) The service offered or performed by such person.[1]

Smart grid Edit

An ancillary service is anything that supports the transmission of electricity from its generation site to the customer. Services may include load regulation, spinning reserve, non-spinning reserve, replacement reserve and voltage support.
