Overview Edit

An Agency Information Management Strategy (AIMS) is a government agency's (or department's) comprehensive plan for using information technology (IT) to support its business needs and is closely aligned to its agency business strategy. An AIMS should include an assessment of IT's internal strengths and weaknesses and how new and evolving technologies can be used to enable agency strategies. An AIMS should define an IT strategy along with a set of IT goals, measurable objectives, priorities and resources required to successfully execute the strategy.
